Administration of QUTENZA1
1.
IDENTIFY treatment area

Must be done by a physician or healthcare provider.
2.
ANESTHETIZE with topical anesthetic

APPLY QUTENZA

NOTE: Use nitrile (not latex) gloves only. Administer in a well-ventilated treatment area. Face mask and protective glasses are advisable.
4.
MONITOR patient during 30-minute treatment

Monitor blood pressure; administer cooling pack or appropriate analgesic medication for pain, if needed.
5.
REMOVE QUTENZA

6.
CLEANSE treatment area with provided Cleansing Gel

On average, 2.7 topical systems/administration were used during clinical trials.2
